About Us

Salaam Namaste, Community Radio (CR) station [A Unit Of Institute Of Management Studies, Noida] is the first CR station of Noida and Ghaziabad. The station is operational since 2009 catering into  different communities such as Women, children, students, Senior Citizens , slum dwellers, villagers ,Folk Artists ,Artisans ,House-held help ,Start –Up Innovators ,Health Experts ,Career Experts ,Social Activists etc.   

Under the vision of President Shri Rajeev Kumar Gupta ,Institute Of Management Studies, Salaam Namaste Community Radio was initiated to be an important medium of change in the Community .Celebrating a decade of Community service and Community Participation, through our Community radio station, we have been able to transform information about government (Central and State) programmes & schemes, accessing government services and bringing social & developmental change in our target communities.Various Radio Programmes and initiatives of Salaam Namaste have been awarded and recognised at various platforms:

2011   

  • Awarded by Media Federation Of India in 2011 for Community Development

2012   

  • Won Manthan Award [Amongst 36 countries in Asia Pacific] for Radio Program Second Innings Ko Salaam ,for Senior Citizens organised by The Digital Empowerment Foundation.
  • Recognised at the BES [Broadcasting Engineering Society ]Expo for Community Broadcasting.

2013      

  • Won Manthan Award [Amongst 36 countries in Asia Pacific] for Radio Program Chakh  De Chotu , for Underpriviledged Kids ,organised by The Digital Empowerment Foundation.

2014

  • Won E-Uttara Award for Best e-Content for state Uttar Pradesh for Radio Program Second Innings Ko Salaam, organised by The Digital Empowerment Foundation along with Government of Uttar Pradesh/
  •  Won E-Uttara Award for Best e-Content for state Uttar Pradesh for Radio Program Chakh De Chotu ,organised by The Digital Empowerment Foundation along with Government of Uttar Pradesh.

2016  

  • Awarded by Ministry Of Information and Broadcasting in the Category of Community Engagement for Radio Program  Chakh De Chotu ,for underpriviledged kids .The Award was given by Honourable Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Jee and Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore Jee, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting in the Indian government.


2017 

  • Won E-NGO Award  ,for Radio Program ” Salaam Shakti “  to recognize, facilitate and award for exceptional work with communities and subjects using any kind of new age tools,organised by The Digital Empowerment Foundation 

2018

  • Finalist for Social Media for Empowerment Awards, for Radio Program ” Salaam Shakti “, recognising efforts through use of Social Media which brings substantial change in the society particularly through the medium of Social Media .

Station head ,Barsha Chabaria shares “ Celebrating a decade ,Salaam Namaste Community Radio [A Unit Of IMS Noida] seeks pleasure to share that we have been able to bring changes in lives ,becoming a pivotal role in initiating positive changes in the community ,promoting local talent ,Promoting Indian Art and Culture ,bringing Skill based  and Start –Up Stories .Through relentless efforts of our Student and Community team we have been been able to work on social issues and work hand in hand with themes of Indian Government and different agencies like Child labour, Hunar Hai To Kadr Hai [National Skill Development Corporation ],Adolescence [BBC Media Action ], Domestic Violence [SMART NGO ],Child Marriage and Continuing Girl Child Education [CRA AND UNICEF], Mahaparv Matadaan [Election Commission of India]to name a few amongst them …and this is just the beginning .With more of Community participation we look forward for a long glorious journey of Community service ahead .
